About Me

My life has always centred on cinema. My earliest memory of falling in love with film is from when I was about three years old, watching The Polar Express in a nappy and dancing to the North Pole theme. At five, I joined Vivid Performances School of Speech and Drama and began my career as a theatre actor. After years of wanting to transition into film acting but struggling to land roles, I realised I didn’t just want to play the characters – I wanted to create them and tell their stories.

Screenwriting has increasingly become my passion. I’ve always loved writing – the earliest piece I remember is a short story called A Day in the Life of a Poacher, written when I was twelve – but I didn’t recognise my specific interest in scripts until I was seventeen. That was also when I decided to move away from stage work and focus on screen.

I later took a dramatic writing summer course at Tisch, NYU, which exceeded my expectations and helped me refine my skills, deepen my understanding of script structure and layout, and become familiar with the tools and standards of the industry.

While studying for my HNC/HND in Creative Media at North West Regional College in Londonderry, I wrote multiple short film scripts and collaborated with friends and crewmates to bring them to life. I also learned the intricacies of live broadcasting.

I am currently studying filmmaking at MetFilm School Manchester, where I’ve chosen screenwriting as my specialism. There, I’ve gained a clearer sense of how to work independently as a professional screenwriter and what it will take to enter the industry.

Outside of film, I love basketball (go Golden State) and I’m currently obsessed with old 2000s digicam photography.
